Default spa3000 disturbed pstn received calls

When I make a PSTN call through gw0 with my spa3000, the voice is perfect.

Also VOIP communications are perfect.

But when I receive a PSTN call there is a regular intermittent lack of voice every second or so. Instead of the voice I hear a sound such as TOC.

It seems like the device is checking or doing something every second and this results in the lack of voice.

Any idea?

Thanks

Which VoIP service provider and which codec is being used for received calls when the problem occurs? Does the problem occur while receiving a VoIP call, or only when receiving a PSTN call?

Provider: Messagenet.it

Codec: G711u
However the problem never occurs while receiving a VOIP call. Just when receiving PSTN calls.

I found another thread in which some people seem to have a similar problem:
http://forum.voxilla.com/linksys-sip...00-9922-4.html (Intermittent Beep on SPA-3000)

it seems related to exceess DTMF sensitivity of spa 3000, but no clear solution was confirmed. Someone seems to have improved the situation by turning off something relating to the fax in the SPA, someother changing DTMF to "inband" (what means inband?).

Anyway many thanks for replying
