Sipura 3000 with multiple VoIP/SIP Providers?
Hi,
Im looking to buy my first adapter and I've got a question regarding the Sipura 3000..
I've tried looking around, but cant find a straight answer anywhere.. Can the Sipura 3000 be configured for the following setup:
1 "normal" landline
1 VoIP from provider 1
1 VoIP from provider 2
I would like to receive incoming calls on all 3 numbers, and also I'd like to make outgoing calls on all 3 (either automatically base on the number dialed, or by using some kind of prefix for line1, line2, etc).. The important part of my question is really if you can use 2 (or more.. is there a limit?) DIFFERENT SIP/VoIP providers for incoming and outgoing phonecalls (Sipura connected to 1 phone in my house). Is this something you can do on the Sipura 2000 aswell?

RE: Sipura 3000 with multiple VoIP/SIP Providers?
Just to update myself.. I believe the Sipura 1001 Does allow 2 different providers, but it does not have a connection for an landline, which I would like to have.
Question still stands.. Does anybody know if I can use the 3000 as above?
Cheers.

nope, S3K only allows for ONE voip incomming call. You can use TWO S3K devices, and they will do what you want; just connect the FXO from one to the FXS from the other, both PSTN lines set to "active" but "no registration", and "make calls with no registration" = yes
It may be cheaper to get a Sipura 1001 and a two line phone.....

RE: Sipura 3000 with multiple VoIP/SIP Providers?
The other thing you can do is to forward all calls from your PSTN Line provider into your Line 1 provider on the SPA-3000. For outbound, you can program gw1 (there are four of them) with the same credentials as the PSTN Line provider.
Then, for inbound any calls to either VoIP provider will ring on your Line 1 telephone and POTS calls will also ring on the Line 1 phone as long as you have the parameter set.
For outbound calls you just set up your Line 1 Dial Plan to send the appropriate calls to the appropriate destinations.

This is VERY interesting Could you please expand on how to setup the S3K so that TWO VoIP providers are routed to the same phone port? My understanding up to now is that PSTN line credentials are for the line-in port only, and I see no setting to connect a VOIP call received on PSTN line to either Line_1 or phone port.....

In the most flexible example, let's say that your two service providers are BroadVoice and FWD. If you put your BV in Line 1 and your FWD in PSTN Line (and gw1), then all you need do is log in to your FWD Account Manager and forward all of your FWD calls to sip:3115552368@sip.broadvoice.com and calls to your FWD number will ring on your BV line connected to Line 1.
Conversely, if you put FWD on Line 1 and BV on PSTN Line you could go into your BV Account Manager and forward all of your BV calls to your IPKall number attached to your FWD account. Then, calls to your BV number would ring in on your FWD line connected to Line 1.

Its great if you have Broadvoice with unlimited plan! But if you are thinking about Sipgate and Stanaphone...... I think there is no way.

I was going to say.. My two SIP providers does not allow free phone calls between them, hence forwarding is not an option.. I would have thought the market is there for a device like 3000 with incoming on multiple lines.. Maybe they will release a 3001 (combining functionality from 1001 and 3000).. Would be great.

There is a device that combines the functionality of a 1001 and a 3000. It is called a PABX, and the most popular one in this community is the Asterisk.

The Intertex IX66 with the SIP Switch functionality can also perform a similar function (it's kind of a PBX sans Voicemail)
