Default PSTN Caller ID Pattern for Israel numbers [SPA 3000]

I am trying to re-setup my PSTN to VOIP configuration which was working for months and suddenly stopped. I want to allow access to a list of numbers I will put in the PSTN Caller ID Pattern line in the PSTN Line tab. All the numbers I want to give access to are Israel numbers, some fixed [Bezeq] lines and some cell lines. If I leave the [Caller ID Pattern] line empty it processes all callers. As soon as I put any entry in that line, the SPA does not answer the call. I have tried the following formats for the numbers I want: 0119722[1234567] 9722[1234567] 02[1234567] 2[1234567] but nothing works.

Is there some special code for Israeli numbers?

Is there something else anyone can suggest? I use the PSTN line as a fax line which is why I need to restrict access by number. I can allow anonymous access by PIN code, which works, but then I lose the fax functionabilty of the PSTN line.

Any and all help will be appreciated!

Default RE: PSTN Caller ID Pattern for Israel numbers [SPA 3000]

As a follow up to my original post. I was just now able to use another VOIP line with a US number to put in the PSTN Caller ID Pattern line, which I then called into the PSTN line from. I have the same problem so it appears that the problem is not the configuratiuon of Israeli numbers but something else. The SPA clearly registers the changes to the PSTN Caller ID Pattern line. I looked thru the SPA user guide and cannot see what else I can do.

Help!

When you receive a call go to Info tab an see the calling number. ¿Is it what you have in Caller Id Patterns?

No! For some reason the last [Israeli] caller ID shows up with a UK country code. I.e. Israel number 02-1234567 shows up in the Info tab as: +4421234567. I copied and pasted that into the Caller ID Pattern line wondering how I could have been so dumb not to have thought of checking that out, but at least I didn't feel that dumb when it did not work! I also called in from another VOIP number and copied and pasted that number, which also did not work. For some reason the SPA is not reading or matching the info that comes in. It used to.

If you did a firmware upgrade recently, try going back (downgrading) and see if this older firmware works fine.

Gabbai:

Why don't you try putting these number is PSTN Access List.

This code fragment was taken from Sipura User's Guide 2.09 page 45:

"If <PSTN Caller ID Pattern> is not blank, then the PSTN Caller ID must match one of the given patterns or else the SPA will not answer the call.".

According to this, any caller id not included in PSTN caller id patterns will be rejected and the call not answered.

Thanks for your response.

I have the Sipura User's Guide 2.09 and have read all the sections about PSTN to VOIP.

I have the system set to PSTN Caller Auth Method: None. I have the same numbers in both the PSTN Caller ID Pattern: and PSTN Access List: lines. The SPA simply does not process them. If on the other hand I leave both lines blank without any entry, the SPA processes any number that calls in.

Could you please write here what you have in PSTN caller id patterns and in PSTN access list. Just change last 4 digits from every number with xxxx.

I have not upgraded my firmware recently.

I have tried all of the following, with the same number in each of the two lines:

US numbers
347342xxxx
1347342xxxx

Israeli numbers
2651xxxx
02651xxxx
9722651xxxx
011972651xxxx
442651xxxx
011442651xxxx
+442651xxxx - this is what shows up in Info as the last number dialed

Strange isn't it!

Gabbai, Why don't you try to remove the number list from PSTN caller id patterns and leave those only in PSTN Access list.
