Double ring tone when making call

Using an SPA-2000 to connect to voiptalk.co.uk I have the following problem:

When dialing a PSTN number in the UK I hear the normal ring tone as the phone at the other end rings, but superimposed on that I hear what sounds like a US ringtone.

I suspect the SPA-2000 may be generating this.
If so, how do I suppress that ringtone???

To add a bit more detail - what I *think* is happening is that upon getting the <phone ringing> signal from the PSTN, voiptalk is relaying that to my Sipura, which then produced the (US) ringtone - however, they are not suppressing the PSTN ringtone.

IMHO they should either mute the line until they get a <connected> signal from the PSTN, or they should not send a <phone ringing> signal.

Its not horribly important - just annoying.
