Default Updating my SPA-3000 firmware

I had updated my SPA-3000 firmware, but after configuring broadvoice, I found that I was downgraded to the 2.08 firmware version. Anyone have any idea of what I need to do to get my firmware upgrade to stay?

Joe

Oh, also, if I update my firmware, do I have to reconfigure all the options?

From memory, so I may not have the steps completely correct:

1. Go to the provisioning tab on the advanced administration web interface - you will need to get your admin password from BV if you haven't already gotten it.
2. Erase the contents of the "Update Rule" and submit the form to make the change permanent.
3. Now do your firmware upgrade.

That upgrade rule is what kicks in and downgrades your SPA. It may be that you could simply change the "Upgrade Enable" field to "no" after performing your upgrade, but I did it pretty much the way I listed above..

In my case, the SPA kept the settings from before the upgrade.

If you have made any changes to your Line 1, like customizing your Dial Plan, this too will be lost every 30 seconds unless you turn off automatic provisioning entirely. By only turning off the "master switch" without wiping out any URL pointers you will be able to "give the SPA back" to BV at some point in the future if you have a problem that you just can't fix.

Ahh, ok, well, I HAD the admin password, but that was when they had pushed the incorrect firmware/settings to my SPA3000. (They had me configured as an SPA1000) After I called about an issue that when my pots line trys to ring through, if I don't pick it up by the 3rd ring, the call just goes dead, my answering machine doesn't get it, it just seems to go to nowhere-land. The engineer at support said it was because the wrong settings were configured and that he was going to push the correct info. I attempted to transfer the call to my pots line (it worked until my ATA reset, then I lost connection) and then I couldn't get back ahold of support. Although after he did what he did, I did notice that it said it was using the SPA 3k config, but my pots support still isn't working quite right. So for now, I don't even have it hooked up.

I might go through, do a complete reset, and then re-input the setup info and see if that fixes it. But short of that, I can't do much else until I get ahold of support again, and get my admin password.
