| | Setting up SIPURA SPA-841 with Broadvoice Service Has anybody been able to setup a SIPURA SPA-841 phone with Broadvoice?
I have tried everything, but the phone fails to register with the service. I upgraded it to the latest firmware version 0.9.1
I called Broadvoice, but because they don't officially support this phone they couldn't really help me.
Any help would be highly appreciated!
Frustated in Miami!

| | RE: Setting up SIPURA SPA-841 with Broadvoice Service Have you succeeded in registering on any other service, like FWD? Since you succeeded in upgrading your firmware you obviously don't have any network connection problems.
If I were you I would try configuring the 841 using the Voxilla wizard for the SPA-2000. If this fails, to configure your 841 directly, at least you will have the confirmation page in front of you. The confirmation page will tell you what parameters you need to manually set (to something other than factory default) in order to make BV work.
Good luck.

| | Yes, I'd say grab the settings from the wizard. My 841 worked right away with Broadvoice with no problem..I just entered the info the fields that was unique to what I entered in my Sipura 3000. |

| | SIPURA SPA-841 with Broadvoice I noticed that when I configure Line 1 for the Broadvoice service, then both Line 1 & 2 LED will become amber.
Only when I configure Line 1 for the FWD service will I get the green color on both Line 1 & 2. Still the Broadvoice service will not register on Line 2 either.
I have left a message for VOXILLA Support to call me, but no luck yet. I also called SIPURA directly, but they wouldn't talk to me, so I guess they don't need my money.
My feeling is that this unit is defective, but I need to confirm with somebody. Maybe the problem is the new firmware 0.9.1. I have reset the unit to Factory default over a thousand times with no luck.
If the VOXILLA tech support reads this, I would like them to call me at 305-597-0666!!!

| | SIPURA SPA-841 with Broadvoice Guys:
I finally was able to get the phone to connect to Broadvoice (thanks to Sipura and to Broadvoice support!!!), but now when I dial a number where I need to enter an extension number, the numbers entered are ignored as if the keypad were disable for that function.
Any suggestions? I am sure it must be a setting with the phone, but I cannot figure out where to fix it!

| | RE: SIPURA SPA-841 with Broadvoice The DTMF Tx method should be set to INBAND for this to work, I believe.

| | RE: SIPURA SPA-841 with Broadvoice The SPA Configuration Wizards aren't ready to use on the SPA-841 as of yet.
When you are using the web interface of the SPA and "saving" the configuration, it is basically a web form that sends a series of name/value pairs. The good thing is that most options are the same as you mvoe across the different devices. For example, the "UserID" setting on Line 1 of a SPA-2000 uses the same internal name on, say, a SPA-1001. This means that for each new device that comes out, I only have to make maybe one or two changes.
The SPA-841 is a completely different beast. All of the name/value pairs have changed. This means I have to figure out what they all are and update the backendcode accordingly. It's very time-consuming.

| | SIPURA SPA-841 NOT DIALING EXTENSIONS .... Well, my friends:
A week has passed by, and I am still not able to call a number and select an extension.
Mr. Daemon from Voxilla tested it with his own SPA-841 phone and Broadvoice, and he had the same problem so the issue was sent to SIPURA for support.
If I don't get a reply by tomorrow at noon, then I will request VOXILLA to take back this phone and issue me a credit taking into account that the unit does not perform according to specifications.
I want to thank all those who tried to help me!!
Regards,

| | RE: SIPURA SPA-841 NOT DIALING EXTENSIONS .... Sipura hasn't gotten back to me on that, though my money is on some sort of network problem with BroadVoice.
I use an Intertex IX66 as my SIP proxy, which registers BroadVoice and a number of other services for me. Three of the four lines are registered with Ext 1 (registered with the IX66), which is configured with DTMF Tx as Auto. The fourth line is using Ext 2, which is also registered with the IX66 but it has two changes: a different dial plan and DTMF Tx set as AVT.
A while ago (can't reproduce it now) I was having problems with passing touchtones on some domestic 800 number. One of the lines (INFO) was working, the other (AVT) was not (or maybe it was reversed). It appears to be working now for both.
I tried the number you gave me with a number of providers. BroadVoice and Terracall had issues. iConnectHere, VoicePulse, Stanaphone, SIPphone, and some others worked just fine.
