SIP Configuration

SIP Terminal Use Outbound proxy: Yes
SIP Terminal Use Register: Yes
SIP Proxy Domain Name: proxy.lax.broadvoice.com (change lax for whatever proxy has the least ping times)
SIP Proxy IP Address: 0.0.0.0
SIP Proxy Port: 5060
SIP Register Domain Name: sip.broadvoice.com
SIP Register IP Address: 0.0.0.0
SIP Authentication String: phone number
SIP Terminal User Name: phone number
SIP Terminal Password: password
SIP Terminal Port: 5060
SIP Terminal Use Null Packet: No
x Both SIP Proxy And Register Servers Use IP

This works for me
Andre

Your not going believe it but my phone broke (won’t turn on) have to send back to get fixed. Will let you know if the settings works. I thank you very much. From what i remember that was the settings I used. when you say password is those ones I can put in there or is it from broadvoice when I signed up?

Sign on to the Broadvoice site and choose Account tab, My Devices should be set to GENSIP, select the Show Settings, you will find your password under auth_password:

Also note that Broadvoice supports DNS Service Records.
You can turn it on in RTP and STUN Configuration under DNS Query Type: select SRV. Then your outbound proxy can be proxy-atl.broadvoice.com. Notice the "-" unstead of "."
This allows an automatic redirection if Atalnta goes down.
The problem with DSN SRV is that it sould be under SIP configuration and only belong to that SIP, not be a global setting. So if you have multiple accounts like BV & FWD this is a problem because FWD does not support DNS SRV. Grandstream phones have it rigth, UTStarcom needs to fix this.
Hope this helps
Andre
