| | Problems registering Sipura SPA 3000 with BV I signed up for BV on 06/20/2005 with BYOD. I used the Voxilla wizard to configure my SPA adapter Line 1 with BV and on the information page I get registration failed message. I did the registration process with Firmware Version 3.1.3 and downgraded it to Version 2.1.3. Since I didn't have any luck I downgraded the firmware again to version 2.0.8.
I also tried the work around suggested in some of the message posts such as including a '-' between proxy.chi.broadvoice.com so that it read as proxy-chi.broadvoice.com. I also made "Use DNS SRV" setting to 'NO' as suggested.
Im using the same username and password that I use to log into the broadvoice portal with the Voxilla wizard.
Any help is this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JoeV |

| | One more thing: If you're signed up for a BYOD plan, once signed on to their web portal, go to the "Account" tab. On the bottom where it says "Show Devices," click on "show settings." You can retrieve your authentication password from there. No need to call and wait on hold hoping someone answers. |

| | Thanks Hok, your instructions were very helpful to me as well! I had to remember to set "Use DNS SRV" setting to 'NO' as suggested elsewhere in the forum as the final step to get my SPA-3000 to register successfully.
Thanks again,

| | I just got my 2100 today from voxilla, It had the old firmware so I went to sipura website and downloaded the new firmware. towards the end of the upgrade the firmware upgrade failed and I no longer can get access to the web interface. When I attempt to access the device via phone dialing **** I hear silence. In otherwords I can not access the configuration of the device.
Supposedly this device is to have 2 separate ports each having 2 lines so that 4 separate accounts could be set up. I found this not to be true and that is what prompted me to upgrade the firmware thinking the new firmware would have this.
If you have 4 different providers each that lock the device it seems to be impossible to set up from what I have seen thus far. The first provider will lock you out of the other 3 set-ups.
Maybe I am not understanding this correctly but the amout of information both here and on the sipura website as to how these devices function is very limited. When I called sipura prior to purchasing the device I was told that it was possible to set-up what I wanted so now I am confused and do not know what to do to reset this device. |

| | Actually the SPA-2100 only lets you configure two accounts, not four. One line per account.
If **** isn't working, power off, unplug the Ethernet from the SPA-2100, power on, and try again after waiting several seconds. If **** is still not working, you've got a dead unit.

| | I am new to the configuring of VOIP adapters. I have used Vonage for some time and it works perfectly for our needs. On the other hand I am an IT guy and like to tinker. I purchased a spa 3000 and a BV account to play with AAH.
I think that I am missing some information that I am expected to know. I followed these steps and some others and I still cannot get my 3000 configured to work with my broadvoice account or AAH. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

| | No, I did not follow those steps. I will try those when I get in today. first, tried the wizard for spa 3000. Next, was the wizard for asterisk. Then, I tried information from forum searches to to resolve the issue. Currently, I have a busy tone. Thanks, | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
