My guess is that your test set off something that looks like more than one session at the same time on a BV account - this would be fraud to them. I would take this quite seriously, especially if your BV service is no longer working.

I would certainly pay attention to : Please contact us at 978-418-7350 immediately. I'm sure that they will fix it for you.

Good luck.

You must be sure that there is only ONE device using your account at a time. If you use the SIP client at the same time you have your ATA on it will trigger a fraud alert.

You can use the SIP client but turn of your Sipura first.

News media reports last year indicated Broadvoice didn't care about multiple sessions, they had solved this problem by deciding to simply charge a 2nd session 3.9 cents per minute whenever a second simultaneous session was detected. In fact, it had been written up that this was a great feature because you could do inbound ringing to two devices at the same time. And whoever picked up first had the inbound call. Do you suppose this is no longer true?

Apparently, BV changed their scheme about a month ago. Around that time people started noticing that second registrations caused one or both of the devices to be restricted to calling toll free and BV numbers and also started generating the emails.

Interesting. I had the problem of not being able to call Toll Frees, on-and-off-, for 11 months now. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Never had two adapters, just one. BV President boasted in same news article, he was unconcerned giving customers their SIP Credentials - regarding fraud - just for their capability to bill 2nd or subsequent simultaneous sessions the per minute fee. Maybe some found an exploit which caused them to reverse this feature. They'll still give out one's SIP Credentials though.
