Default Polycom 501 Registration

Does anyone have a configuration to get a Polycom 501 to register on Broadvoice. It registering fine on ViaTalk but requires in-band DMTF tone which requires software from Polycom only available to dealers. Broadvoice does not seem to respond to the normal VOIP Sip Proxy ans Sip server setup.

Thanks

Default Re: Polycom 501 Registration

I was able to get the updated firmware 2.0.3 today and have the phone updated. I tried registering the phone with my local test 3CX server and also with BroadVoice, nothing worked.

I called BroadVoice support three times (first two times I was disconnected or went to silence after ~8 minutes) and finally after holding 18 minutes I finally reached someone. They are mostly friendly but a bit abrupt. I suspect there are a few people providing support so you take what you can get. When I mentioned the PolyCom he immediately said "I have never had one of those work." We went through the settings and the phone did not register. Can anyone provide more information on this issue?
