Unhappy PAP2T-NA help

Okay. So I've searched throughout the site and looked at every possible peice of documentation I could find regarding my PAP2 and Broadvoice service. I followed every instruction (resetting it each time I decided to try something else...) and none of it has worked. I would like if someone could assist in getting this device working, at least with the BV service I've been paying for and not using (for 2 months I might add...).

Just so I can give anyone who helps a little better picture of my setup, heres the network rundown:

(Internet)--> WRT54GL (With HyperWRT Thibor 15c) --> PAP2T-NA --> Phone.

I'm on a 12mbps/2mbps cable service line and no port blocking (except the obvious ports). I opened the SIP ports 5060-5090 (just in case..) directly to the PAP2T.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help. I called BV and even though it is listed on their device list (inside the account portal), but not on their BYOD device list, they can't help me at all...

So yeah... help... please... and thanks...

Default Re: PAP2T-NA help

I just signed up two days ago.

Ran the wizard off this site.

Not sure it the wizard helped.

Then opend the provision tab in pap2t in the profile rule filed placed this info

http://config.broadvoice.com:8080/$MA.cfg

the unit will reset and take sometime to register.

Note: The units admin link will get locked with a passcode from broadvoice. You can call broadvoice and they will give you your specific admin login required.

msg me and I will give you my number to call if you have problems.

Oh my g... Thank you so much. I hope this helps others. It also helps to add it to your account portal (change device from Generic SIP to Linksys PAP2) with the proper MAC Address. Once that was done, I cycled the power, and the new configuration downloaded. I'll call them later on when I want to add an Asterisk server and get the password. For now, this is great.

Thanks again!

Default Re: PAP2T-NA help (Howto Install on Broadvoice)

I would like to share my experience setting up the Pap2-na on Broadvoice.

I read a lot of posts here and on other sites and this seems to have worked the best - I got the Adapter up and running in 5 minutes!

First go Broadvoice web site and follow the instructions from the site - for the SPA-2000. Follow them Step by Step - do not skip ANYTHING.

After you are done give BV a call and let them know what you are using. Make sure you give them you Mac Address and make of the Adapter (pap2-NA). They will set it up for you.

After the call you have to cycle up the adapter by unplugging it, waiting 30-60 seconds and starting it back up. Before you do anything wait for the adapter to pick up all the info it needs from BV (the Power light will blink).

Once all of this is done you should be able to make calls!

As I said I followed this - and was calling out (and getting calls) in under 5 minutes!! Works like a charm!

If any one needs help let PM me.

-Dov C.
