| | Other side can't hear me Current status for me is that about 80% of the time the other party can't hear me. I tried proxy.broadvoice.com (100% failure rate); proxy.dca.broadvoice.com (ok until 2 days ago, now 100% failure); proxy.lax.broadvoice.com (100% failure, always get busy tone); mia proxy (ok yesterday, now the same problem), chi (100% failure, always get busy tone). Any solution? |

BroadVoice can fix the problem for a while, but the problem will come back again and again. You will need to spead lots of time on it until you cancel this service from BroadVoice. -- This is my experience. |

| | Believe me, I have considered this option. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no other service with reasonable unlimited international rates. |

| | We're having pretty good luck with BroadVoice lately, but in case of problems we have a "basic" landline (for fax machine and DSL support) and also two cellphones. Hey give these guys a break, it's a brand new industry.

| | I have had them for 1 month on 6/25/05 and I can say "They suck ass". I've have lost service 5 times on my business account. Today, we could call people, but they couldnt' hear us. Changing our proxy address is a load of crap. Never should a end user have to change their proxy everytime Broadvoice has a problem (daily it seems). I for one just closed my account. |

| | I had them since early December, and they worked without a hitch until April. That is why I am still hoping (what slowly seems to be against hope) |

| | If you let BV provision your device you can't even write your own dial plan -- a must for international users |

| | I am in Taiwan. I can register to proxy.broadvoice.com, I hear everything clearly, dialing works every time --- but I have yet to make a single call using that proxy where the other party can hear me. And that is the same for calls to Taiwan, China, Germany, HK, Singapore --- I haven't tried the US since I only call BV service there. Due to the current problems, I change servers many times each day to see if it helps. And yes, I am using codec 711u --- before I had that problem occasionally using other codecs. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
