Default No Caller ID for incoming callers - why?

I get "Unavailable Unknown Number" for ALL incoming calls. How do I fix this?

I little more information might get you some replies. My guess however, is you set something up wrong.

These items will help when describing your issue:
VOIP provider?
ATA Unit?
Current Configurations?
Always been a problem or did it just start?
Operating system?

Well, since I'm posting in the Broadvoice forum, one might assume it's Broadvoice and they would be correct.

The adapter is a Sipura SPA-2100
Current configuration is provisioned by Broadvoice
It started to be a problem around July (worked fine from March to July) and Broadvoice never fixed it and just canceled the case.

It still displayed the phone # until last week, when I suddenly couldn't get any incoming calls.

BV uploaded a new config file to the SPA-2100 and incoming calls come in properly, but Caller ID is non-existent.

Operating System of what? My PC? WHich one? I have 7 computers at home.

The SPA-2100 is behind a Linksys BEFSR41 but it worked fine from the day I got Broadvoice service, so it was something else that changed.

to confirm whether it is your problem or BroadVoice's look at the Call 1 Peer Phone: field during the incoming call... if it doesn't say anything (which would be my guess) - then something is wrong with BV. Last time I had it, they just switched me to another proxy - and everything started working. BV support may be a pain to get through; but recently it was short wait.

What's the Call 1 Peer Phone? In the portal, the incoming calls do not show Caller ID name or phone number either.

It's in your Sipura web interface. Note, that my device is 2002, but I would think that 2100 is somewhat similar. Anyway, since your configuration is provisioned by Broadvoice, you might never visited adapter's web page. Then again, if you want to keep it that way, you may want to consider Vonage or Packet8 (I don't mean it as a snide comment, but I would not be comfortable to suggest BV to my dad). Yet again, having 7 computers at home, you are probably comfortable with home networking (off-topic: how did you connect 7 computers and an adapter to BEFSR41... jez wondering :?: )

Anyway, I've never seen no CID info in the protal... so it's probably time to call BV support

I have a 100 Mbps switch connected to the BEFSR41 for additional connectivity.
I've contacted BV about the CID info since this time the portal isn't even showing it.
Thanks!

Default Any update on CID issue?

I called BV yesterday to find out if there was an ETA on the CID issue that's been going on for almost a month now. The rep was like oh yea it's an issue but had no idea when it was going to be resolved.

Any updates on this? I'm starting to get tired of it and it seems like every ticket I put in with BV support disappears into never neverland. I have Vonage and BV right now and really want to keep BV instead of Vonage but not if this is how things are going to be!

That was enough for me -- I'm done with them.
