Ok, after a bit of spinning my wheels (because of a lack of free time), I finally have my Broadvoice account working. I was never able to get my SPA-3000 to work, but my SPA-2000 works fine. I just reset the 3K to factory after upgrading firmware.

My problems were detailed in another thread, but it basically boils down to this: with the 3K, although I have dialtone, I am unable to dial any numbers without getting a "We're sorry, your call cannot be completed at this time. Please hang up and try again later" message.

I can dial numbers fine with my 2K.

Is my 3K faulty?

I have an SPA-3000 and this has happened to me several times. Sometimes on local numbers, sometimes on long distance and most often on 800 numbers. If I leave a message with TECH SUPPORT, problem is fixed usually in several hours. I believe this is Broadvoice's problem not yours.

I've talked to support several times, and they can't seem to figure out what's going on. They talked about doing a call trace...I haven't yet told them I got my 2000 to work.

I'll contact them again, but does anyone have any other ideas?

Wow. Fixed right away.

I wonder why I called several times to BV support and they had no idea what was going on, tried call tracing, etc. to no avail...I was about ready to throw in the towel before I got my 2K to work, then I was convinced there was something wrong with my 3K.

Anyway, thanks a lot c_montoya!

It was this that did it, btw: disabling the G.723,726-40,and 726-16 codecs.
