New message indicator flashing

Default New message indicator flashing
Hi,

The new message indicator is flashing on my phone (a Siemens phone). On my old POTS line this indicator flashed when there was a new message, but currently I don't have any new messages. I am using the Linksys PAP2/Sipura SPA-2000. Is there a setting I can change to turn this off, and even (maybe) get it to turn on when there is indeed a new message?

Hmm... it seems to have gone off again. Sorry for bothering you .

However I still don't know if it'll work when I actually have a message...
