| | new byod user Hi,
I just got my box from voxilla and went to BV to sign up. I wanted to sign up as generic device but it didn't allow so I signed up with 1001. I went through the process but when it was all done, I don't have a green light on the back of my box and I have no dial tone? I then went and entered some strange codes into the box and upgraded it? Question: what do I need to do now to get dial tone? Did they lock my box? I never wanted a locked box? Can I unlock it and if so how? help!!!
Thanks.

| | Re: new byod user Yes, it's not clear from the BroadVoice instructions but you must get your password from them. Then you put your phone number and password in the Voxilla wizard and away you go.
If I have some spare time today I'll write up a step-by-step guide to BYOD at BroadVoice. I was confused by this myself when I first started out. |

| | RE: Re: new byod user The odd thing is that if you put in generic SIP device they send you the configuration automatically. I started out using a softphone and had no issues. It appears from the above that if you pick an actual device, they don't send it ?!? |

It all worked out in the end though - now I know |

| | RE: Re: RE: Re: new byod user Is there any easy way to get the password. I've sent e-mails to support@broadvoice.com and tried calling their support number for the last two days. No reply to e-mails, and calling the phone number puts you on hold for 20+ minutes before the call is dropped. |

| | RE: Re: RE: Re: new byod user Doesn't that count as discussing Seriously, improved customer service would be nice to see. It seems to be a major handicap for them. |

| | RE: Re: RE: Re: new byod user I have the spa-2000 and I used the generic sip sign up. They never sent me any config specs but when I logged into the portal > acct info I found the config stuff there. I printed the page and then used voxilla wizard and all is well. So far service has been great. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
