Credits are not instant. They can take up to 30 days to come due to the way companies have their billing systems setup.

Broadvoice ??? That is not a company. Is a pitiful joke. Even more, I think that is a one man operation, working from his home's living room. Support ???? Non existing Service ???? They don't even know the word. If you need VoIP service, go with the pros. Forget about amateurs like Broadvoice.

like I said ... you get what you pay for. Their price is still unbeatable and for that low price I'm willing to live without service/support. I've been using them almost 3 years now and the benefits outweigh the trouble they have once in a while. Just don't rely on them as your only provider. Have a backup in place when they fail. ciao, Cybertoy

I have only been with BV for a short time. Thus far it's been a very pleasant experience. Their support people have been *great*. Very friendly, and helpful. When I had some problems getting my softphone configured, the rep that I spoke with gave me a one-month credit as a courtesy, and I received it that day. For the price and features, they are the best. The sound quality is better than it was on Vonage, the price is better, and the fact that they don't lock me into (or out of) a proprietary piece of hardware is fine by me. I can deal with service interruptions every once in awhile if their support stays as good as it has been. So far, I'm really quite satisfied. Time will tell.

One more thing. I agree with the contention that using VoIP for a business is not a very good idea. There are too many ways it can and will fail. I don't think it matters who the provider is. My primary use is for telework, and I still have a backup POTS line in the event of failure.

If you have a decent broadband connection FIOS, DSL, T1 etc (not cable) and a quality provider then VoIP works fine. Who is/was your ISP?
