| Today I just got my SPA3000. I decided to go with BroadVoice. I wanted to have control of my SPA3000 and did not want to get locked out by BV so I can fine tune my setup. I have been reading the various posts on how to avoid getting locked but still got locked anyway. So this is what happened, - Signed up at BV web site stating that I am using a BYOD generic SIP box -Upgraded my SPA3000 to the latest 2.0.11g code -Used Voxilla's configuration wizard -I could not get dial tone and only a reorder tone no matter what I did. I made a few tweaks based on the previous posts and could not make it work. - So finally I used the http://config.broadvoice.com:8080/$MA.cfg in the Profiles setting and I got it to work perfectly except that now I was locked out of the SPA3000 - Called BV and they gave me the password. I then removed the Profile link setting with blank and also changed the password to my own. So if you want to avoid getting locked do not use the BV $MA.cfg link. For now I am a happy camper. |
