Do I need a crossover cable or straight cable? (between my router LAN and SPA 2100 WAN)

No, you shouldn't use a crossover cable. They're usually for connections between PCs. I have one crossover cable somewhere in my house, and have never used it. Many switches and routers out there are auto-sensing, so they're able to accept both types of cables, but you should still use the right types.

Ok, I just buzzed out the cable and 4 of the pins were shorted!!! Also my IP address was wrong. Reset it so the router doesn't conflict with the SPA 2100. Now everything works! Thanks for the help.
