Default Existing Broadvoice Service changing devices to Sipura 2100.

Hello everything,
I recently discovered this forum...and got to say... I love it! There's so much info and support for VOIP. After reading about people's experiences with broadvoice and tweaks and tricks, I decided to buy an unlocked Sipura 2100.

I already have Broadvoice. Currently I am using X-ten softphone only (that's how I signed up) and my device is listed as generic SIP.
Here's my question:
When I receive my Sipura, do I need to change the device on my broadvoice account online? If yes, do I need to call Broadvoice to let them know I am doing this? I read in the forums you only need to change it if it needs to be provisioned. I will use the configuration wizard from Voxilla. Just wanted to know what's the best/correct way of doing this.

Thanks!

Default RE: Existing Broadvoice Service changing devices to Sipura 2

If you intend to continue self provisioning (no reason to change now, in my opinion), you need only program your SPA using the Voxilla Wizard. There's nothing to inform BV about in this case.

If, on the other hand, you want to have BV provision your SPA you can easily change your provisioning via the Account Portal.
