Default Even your lousy website is down!

Looking to check the status of a number I'm porting over. 611 isn't working. It's been about 3 or 4 weeks and I haven't heard from anyone regarding the status as promised in your confirmation email. Unfortunately your website is completely down!

What's going on?? Can someone please check the front door and see if there is a "FOR LEASE" sign hanging there?

Whose web site are you talking about? I am able to reach www.broadvoice.com without problem. Are you able to place any calls via BroadVoice? Are you able to receive phone calls? And, as of two hours ago, I was able to have conversations with BroadVoice subscribers.

I still can't view the website. No problems with any other website. Also, I am unable to place calls. Could it be an adelphia thing???? Sorry for the flame!! Doh!

It might very well be. When you try to contact www.broadvoice.com with your web browser what kind of error message are you getting? Is it a timeout error (cannot reach) or a DNS error (cannot find) error? Their IP address is 147.135.0.5, if that helps.

It's a cannot find error. If I ping it i get "request timed out" and "reply from 199.232.56.30 - destination not reachable." if it's an adelphia thing it just happened yesterday.

I had trouble signing in today, would get the main portal page, but couldnt enter my account, after username n password, the page gave an error, (Error 403 i believe). This was aroudn midday UK time - was OK after a few hours. I was trying to sign in from Egypt.

Just got this from Adelphia's tech support:

Troy J> Ok, thank you. The DNS cache is not updating to this site via our servers. What I am going to have to do is send this information up to a higher level in order for them to push the proper updates through. Once this is done, you should be able to access this site once again.

Maybe Adelphia should upgrade to those newfangled DNS carrier pigeons. I hear they get things done much quicker than the manual process.

This has got to be really frustrating for you. They're my local cable company, but I won't go near them with a 10 foot pole.
