Default BV no voice on outgoing calls

BV was out here since Thursday last week.
We are getting calls in.
Outgoing calls register on destination caller id but there is no voice.

BV is still down in several places. I have 4 numbers to work with: T-Mobile, Sprint, VoicePulse, and BV. When calling/receiving to/from BV, a couple work, a couple don't -- still a mess out in BV land as of this morning.

512-351-xxxx T-Mobile Cell
512-796-xxxx Sprint Cell
512-220-xxxx VoicePulse
512-692-xxxx BV
651-393-xxxx BV

Same here with 650-352-xxxx area code. It has been like this for three days.

No ring tone received, no audio either way. The call does ring the intended party. The call, however, does not get listed in the call log on the BroadVoice site. I checked my Sipura and there were no RTP packets received from BroadVoice. I can call 611 with no problem.

Outbound was working last night but we too are back to dead air on the outbound in the 602 area code exchange. From our Asterisk log I can tell you that ULAW was working as their CODEC last night but now it is back to unknown and the changing to ULAW after the call connects.

I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in their area.

Also, is there anyone here that can get something posted on Slashdot to bring more public awareness to this issue? Since Slashdot seems to run good stories on the Asterisk setup, this would be timely.

After eight days, I'm finally able to dial out consistently. Sound quality is poor, but I get an endpoint every time I dial.

Hopefully this means things are on the mend.

I know it does me no good to mention this here, but honestly, they really are going to have to work to gain any sort of credibility. I just can't in good faith recommend them to anyone at this point.

That may very well change later on, but it will be up to them.

The situation in LA area is starting to look better. I was able to dial out. I tried so far the 818, 213 and 661 area codes.
