Default BV doesn't want my money!

I've been trying to sign up on BV for the last two days....

Their credit card processing is down, but there is nothing on the BV web site to say so, and you don't find out until you get to the last stage of subscription where it won't accept the credit card details.

The suggestion at that point on the web site is to call their customer service number. Last night I gave up after 40 minutes on hold. Tonight their call queue appears to be full - just get a busy tone!

The local UK number for $2/month was very appealing, but I don't have a good feeling about the way my relationship with BV has failed to get off the ground.

Any suggestions for another no-contract service with BYOD? (I have a Sipura 3000).

I've been trying to setup a new account on BV and get the same credit card processing error since Wednesday afternoon. I did call them Wednesday and was told there was a problem reported at 11:30 am and try back tomorrow. The customer service guy evidently uses the same web interface and claimed he could not do anything. There was only one telephone number left in my area and he claimed he wouldn't do anything to protect it. Now I lost it.

I sent customer service an email this afternoon and still haven't heard from them.

BroadVoice has confirmed to me that the credit card processing back end is indeed down. It was supposed to be restored by Noon Eastern Time Thursday, but there were troubles that prevented this. The next target is Noon Friday. I will report here when the capability is restored if nobody beats me with the news.

It apparently hasn't been fixed yet.

Try www.surevoice.com. They also offer BYOD but won't see it until you go through the sign-up process. I don't understand why they would not boldly dispaly this as their strong point!

Default RE: Re: BV doesn

Surevoice seems to be a good deal if you want 19 fewer countries for the same monthly price as BroadVoice. Also, I have not yet found a way to learn how many Rate Centers Surevoice has behind their list of Area Codes. An Area Code is a pretty big expanse that doesn't accurately depict where a provider serves.

On the plus side, they offer the first month free to everybody (not just Voxilla customers). Is it true that there ends up being no startup cost if you BYOD?
