| I was wondering for awhile on why some of my outgoing calls wasn;t going through. Looking through my dialed out logs from Broadvoice I noticed that I missed some numbers. For instance if I want to dial 555-1212 the log said I dialed 55-1212 or 555-112 only 6 and sometimes only 5 numbers. Is there a setting on the Sipura that I can change or is this a Broadvoice problem? |

| Phoneboy, Thanks for responding again. I have my own Sipura 3000 which I bought 2 weeks ago from Voxilla. The firmware reads: Software Version: 2.0.8(GW) Hardware Version: 2.0.1(96a3) Can I upgrade to the newer 2.0.11a? Do you think it will be compatible with Broadvoice? Thanks |

| Depends on if the configuration of the device is locked or not. If the admin interface is locked out, then no you can't upgrade, they have to do it for you. Otherwise, it'd be a good idea to upgrade to 2.0.11a. Lots of bugs fixed since 2.0.8 (which was one of the beta firmwares, IIRC).

| cthetoy: You can do the upgrade yourself. Use the "Reset" method to set your sipura back to "factory defaults" E.g. **** 73738 1 You can then use the utility from Sipura to upgrade your firmware. You finish up by following steps 8 and after from here:  support_install_byod_sipura.html When you're done, your device will again be locked. NOTE: I have a BYOD plan and this works for me. I can't guarantee that the resulting config won't attempt to downgrade the firmware, so the next step would be to get the admin profile (just beg Broadvoice) and disable (remove) the upgrade rule in the Provisioning(?) section. You can determine if your .cfg file is available on Broadvoice's server by entering the URL described in step 11. Substitute your "MAC Address" (that's what $MA means). You can determine your MAC address by going to your Sipura configuration and looking at the Info tab under "Product Information". NOTE: you may need to retype your MAC address in LOWER CASE. Here's an example assuming your MAC address is: 000X0X0XX0XX http://147.135.0.7:8080/000x0x0xx0xx.cfg |

| PhoneBoy and steventheamusing : Thanks for the tips and help. I got my admin password the 1st day I signed up. The support was helpful and they answered my call within 2 rings and gave me my password over the phone. I will let you know how my firmware update went. I used both the Voxilla config Wizard and the Broadvoice's config to see whats the difference. Of course Voxilla's config wizard has more features. I have to send Phoneboy my original Broadvoice settings because the new Broadvoice West in the config wizard doesnt work. I had to manually enter some additional info which I copied from my working original settings from Broadvoice. |

| Where did you send it to me? I'll be happy to update the wizard. When I do use BroadVoice, it is either with my Asterisk server or with my WiSIP.
