Default BroadVoice and PAP2-NA success stories?

The main question is: "Has anyone been able to get BroadVoice service on their PAP2?" this is because I've read a lot of posts saying that it's possible, but haven't seen anyone openly say that they've achieved it. People who have tourtured this question in threads seem to disappear, are their efforts inconclusive?

Now, just in case someone will later ask, here is my situation:
I've been trying to do just that for several weeks, but have had no luck.
My set-up is: LAN => Linksys WRT54G (firm: v1.00.6) => Linksys PAP2-NA (firm: v3.1.3(LS))
I can get BroadVoice service on CounterPath eyeBeam and I can get other VoSPs to work on the PAP2. I've followed the BroadVoice BYOD guide for Sipura SPA 2000 and have used the Voxilla Linksys PAP2 Configuration Wizard. I have read all the forum posts about getting BroadVoice to work with the Linksys PAP2-NA but have not found a solution that works. Is there definitive information about getting this to work? Could any one share configuration details? Provide screenprints?

Thanks in advance and Happy International Women's Day,
petrakoff

Despite your pesimism, Broadvoice does work on PAP2. Attached are my screenshots. I use stun as my provider spigate.co.uk on Line 2 requires it, but it can be also made to work without stun.

Default pap2

This is the answer I got from Broadvoice!

Although reconfiguring the Linksys Pap2 device is not a procedure we
support, we can provision your account based on the research of other
subscribers who have successfully configured their Linksys Pap2 devices.
Keep in mind that we have not tested or certified support for this setup.

Our subscribers using a Linksys Pap2 have found that the configuration
behaves like a SPA-2000 during provisioning. We suggest that you try to
configure your device following those instructions. We can also recommend
that you conduct research in usergroups and forums for further information.

Following is the configuration file for your BroadVoice account:

primary_dns_ip: 147.135.0.6

secondary_dns_ip: 147.135.8.6

proxy_ip: proxy-nyc.broadvoice.com

proxy_port: 5060

registrar_ip: sip.broadvoice.com

registrar_port: 5060

phone_number: current phone number '0000000000'

auth_id: current phone number '0000000000'

auth_password: current password

tftp_ip: config.broadvoice.com

ntp_ip: ntp.nasa.gov

DTMF: InBand

registration_time_out: 10_seconds

voice_mail_key: *86

time_zone: GMT-03:00

md_27514:

thank you thank you thank you! the configuration shot's you've sent worked like a charm. i tried it without stun, it didn't seem to work (i ended up using stun.xten.com). what would be the trick to go without it? and btw, does bv have their own stun?
again thank you, i am now one happy optimist

I'm happy it worked for you. I never understood why people have so much problem to make BV work on PAP2 it worked for me first time I tried... I just might be lucky... BV does not have stun server, so you did right to use xten. Any stun server should work here. If I remember correctly, to make it work without stun you should set to "no" all NAT support parameters on the SIP page.

I don't know either, but these screen caps have really done it for me. I seriously tried everything for weeks until you helped me, and how it's been three months, and I've had no issues. Thanks again buddy!

Did I miss something, where are the screenshots?

Someone please post again...

I'm new to this, only been messing with it for a day. I was told by a close friend that BroadVoice was the way to go with PAP2NA, but now I read many complaints (BBB) and I'm having second thoughts, I hope I didn't just waste $60.

Can someone please advise?

thanks!

-mike

Yeah, looks like the screenshots I posted are gone. Unfortunately, I don't have them anymore and have since switched to asterisk, so I no longer connect my PAP2 directly to BV, but to my asterisk wich has BV as a trunk. Maybe som other guys who have a running config can post them again.
