Default Broadvoice locked my Sipura 2000

I am really frustrated with technical support of Broadvoice. I signed up with Broadvoice about 2 days ago using my Sipura 2000. I was having some issues with the connection and I emailed Broadvoice a few times and did not get an answer.

Researching my problem, I found out that my upload speed (cable modem) was low around 33 kbps and my download speed was about 350 kbps. That was the reason that when I call a telephone number, the person answering the call cannot hear me because of the low upload speed but I can hear him well.

According to one of the websites about VOIP, it suggested that I use codec g.729 for upload speed of 33kbps.

When I went back to the SPA 2000 configuration page to look at the codec setting, it was asking me for a user name and password.

Why did Broadvoice lock my Sipura 2000? What user id and password should I use? I tried resetting it by dialing ****73738# and got the message that it was successful but it is still locked. Now, I bought the Sipura 2000 and Broadvoice does not have any business locking it.

Technical support really sucks! (Pardon the french).

Please unlock my Sipura 2000.

I am posting the email messages of Broadvoice to me. They have given me 2 passwords to try and both don't work.

I need to change my Sipura configuration. When I go to the SPA 2000
configuration page, I am being challenged with a user id and password.
What user id and password should I use. I need to change the codec.

Please reply by email.

Thanks.

Default ADMIN is login

If you read the Sipura info (see their web site) the login for administrative use is always 'admin'. Are you logging in with 'admin' and then using the long alphanumeric password they gave you? The userid refers only to your account or aliased non-E164 dialling address. Just a thought...

Thanks for that I have been having the same problem. Using the username admin worked fine.

Of course I have been waiting patiently for a call back from BV support about this for a couple of days. I leave lots of messages and send email, but they never call. Not too impressed.
