Hi, I've been trying all week to get my SPA-841 working. It's on a 192.168 private address behind a Linux netfilter NAT. Net access is through Comcast. I've progressed to getting amber lights for lines 1 and 2. I actually only have a line 1 with Broadvoice. No sense ordering more until I make that work. The 841's admin page shows line 1 registration fails. When I ran the SPA-841 config wizard, it came back telling me that "some configuration items have errors (Items in red)" None of the text boxes are red, though all of the labels are. I hope my system isn't that messed up! I went ahead and manually entered the same settings it showed, though. Still got "registration failed." I got generic sip settings in an email from BV support. No joy. I found some settings here. No joy. I got some settings from Usenet. No joy. I'll post detailed settings if they'll help anyone help me. I got the one free month of BV voucher with the phone and I'd like to get the phone working before I need to consider canceling BV. TIA, Joe

Here (I think) is my configuration screen shot if that will help. The link from the preview screen doesn't show it correctly, only saves ~20k of 95K. Thanks, Joe

Kimcar, Thanks. BV support suggested that I follow their BYOD instructions for the SPA 1000, and that worked. Thanks, Joe

The BroadVoice support team and I exchanged about a dozen emails. They were always respectful and helpful. After I replied to the first of their messages they answered the questions I posed each time. What worked: At their suggestion I followed their online BYOD instructions for the SPA 1000 with one significant difference. Since my internal network is all static 192.168 IP addresses, after the factory reset I input the static IP configuration by hand again. Then I loaded http://192.168.xxx.xxx (The SPA841's IP)/admin/upgrade?http://config.broadvoice.com:8080/spa2k-2.0.10e.bin The lights did not flicker, but I waited a couple minutes before continuing. I followed the remaining instructions, including setting the Profile Rule to "http://147.135.0.7:8080/$MA.cfg"but no joy. Undaunted, I started from another factory reset, configured the static IP, and followed the rest of the online instructions again. This time it worked, and I have no clue what was different. But the unit kept rebooting itself, sometimes setting itself to "DHCP enabled" in the process. I had to keep entering the network config manually. When I got the admin password from BV, I set the network config via the web interface, and set the "Provision Enable" to "No." It's been just peachy since then, for a couple days now. I don't know why it enables line 2 when I have only one subscriber line, but it's not hurting anything as far as I can tell fom the unit's performance. Here is the current admin config web page. Hope that's helpful to someone. Thanks for all the help, and thanks to BV email support staff. Joe
