Default braintel voice mail

hi,

can anyone tell me how to disable braintel voice mail?

i mean if my phone is not available/on, the call should not be picked up by voice mail. instead it should go as unanswered.

can anyone tell me how? I have sipura 2000.

thanks.

VoiceMail has nothing to do with your Sipura Device. In the absence of any kind of online BrainTel portal that you can control your a/c with, the only way to enable/disable voicemail would be to call their SupportLine and request them to disable voicemail. They may not do that, cos it is very possible that every answered calls (even if it is ending up in VM) generates a tiny bit of revenue for them.

Hi Rizsher,

Thank you for your quick response. I appreciate.
Certainly you are correct that there is nothing my sipura settings can do anything and braintel do not have portal to enable its customers to manage their account.

Thank you again.

There seems to be important upgrade at BrainTEL voicemail system (Let’s hope it stays!)

When you call voicemail number (210-0800) from your BrainTEL number it seems like its authorizing from the caller ID and won’t ask for login and password and it will tell if you have new voice mail message and gives advanced options.

I still have to check by blocking CLID from my ATA and then calling voice mail number to see what message I get?

Hi,

Thanks for your views.
When I called braintel the other day to disable my voice mail, the Rep. said to write an email with particulars to support@braintel....... I have written to them with my request. Let's hope they do the needful.

Yes, it seems they are working on voice mail. Previously the system asked for login and password, but not now.

Rizher is quite right that sipura 2000 has nothing to do with voice mail disable/enable. Braintel needs to give its customers the option to maintain their account/features.

Keep it up.

Khan

Hi,

Finally the braintel tells me that they cannot disable voice mail at their end and that engineers are working to give this facility to customers.

So if your pc/sipura is off or the call is unanswered, the caller will get voice mail and will certainly be charged by the PTCL.

We have to wait for braintel engineers to give us the discretion to change our options at our will.

Thanks to all.
