| | BrainTel settings for Sipura/Linksys ATA’s All these settings are testing and working 100% for BrainTEL;
when you are using router it does not matter if you have static IP or dynamic IP from your ISP because your router is taking care of your internal IP addresses through its DHCP configuration.
Connect ATA (Spa 2000 or PAP2-NA or PAP2T-NA) to router then connect a normal phone to any out put port on it (indicated by line 1 or 2), on this phone pick up the handset and press * (star) key four times, you will hear the message of “Configuration menu……” press 110 followed by the # key, it will announce the IP address of your ATA. (Suppose its 192.168.x.x or 10.0.x.x)
On the computer, which must be connected to the same router, open up IE (browser) and in the address bar enter the IP address of your ATA (192.168.x.x or 10.0.x.x) and press enter. | | Re: BrainTel settings for Sipura/Linksys ATA’s Mirza bhai, I was wondering if you know how to set up voicemail tone...When I receive a new voicemail, I get an e-mail, but no stutter dialtone or message waiting indicator on my phone...generally in canada, when there is a voicemail waiting, you can hear a stutter tone with a voicemail indicator flashing. Does brain support this? On their site, it says that they support voicemail tone in hard setup and not in soft setup..Any information on this sir? thanks |

| | Voice mail shutter tone no more! You are lucky that you are getting e-mail for voice messages, lot of other users including me are dying to have this feature again! It used to work fine (shutter tone for VM on ATA, indication on soft phone, e-mail for messages) till May 2006 and then the SIP server was relocated and all wonderful features were snatched from users; only VoIP service was restarted with G729 codec. If you check BrainTEL forums and BrainTEL section (The site appears and diapers magically) you will see every one has been asking for these features and had suggested so many other good suggestions but..... |

The configuration seems to be quite different from SPA 3000. I am registered in Braintel as PQAZI. Can u please send me the braintel configuration for 3102. I will be much obliged.

P QAZI | Qazi,
Mirza doesn't work for braintel and he would have no knowledge of your account. But he is very knowledgeable in things SIP related. What may help him and other is if you took screenshouts of the configuration pages and posted them here. also look to see if there is a advanced but make sure you take screen shots in Admin and advanced mode. |

I have tried to create basic configuration for SPA3102 in this file (get file from this Link) and hope this will help the users, you may observe under the “VoIP Fallback To PSTN” and under “SIP Settings” the SIP port is 5060. I would encourage the users of SPA3102 to share their experience. Also under “Miscellaneous” you can adjust the Time zone to yours and adjust “Caller ID Method” to “Bellcore(N.Amer,China). | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
