Braintel not working! - Page 3

Friday May 16, 1:10 am. Very poor call quality.
I have been using braintel for about two years now, they keep moving Sip servers around. When I call Support they always seem to blame PTCL, it is inherent in our society to point fingers instead of fixing own problems. Briantel is more than 3 years old now, they should have been an established service provider, but they seem to care less about quality of service.
One other note: Braintel should at least post service related updates on their 3 year old webpage.

Shahid, you have expressed my feelings!
I used to have hope with BrainTEL management but not anymore, three years is enough time to learn!!

The only change I saw on their website is courage to post something new:

Dear Valued Customers,
Braintel has been informed by one of its international bandwidth partner that they will be performing an emergency maintenance activity at their end and it can take Braintel couple of days to resume its services as per routine.
This is an advisory notice that your service may face slight degradation during this time. We sincerely regret for this inconvenience.
We thank you for your patience.

BrainTel is back to life

great. They have changed the SIP IP again and I think this time the service is residing in Pakistan.

SIP: 119.063.130.098:8891 (char.brain.net.pk)

I hope the service will stay as it is

Not working for me. I think it keeps switching between working and not working. No stable solution. I think braintel users are only the people calling to pakistan from abroad. I wonder if a business decides to use braintel VOIP what would happen to them

You are 99% correct that BrainTEL users are out of country, they do provide this service to business users in Lahore who have their DSL service and they used to have different SIP server just for business customers in Lahore.

Their relocation of SIP server in just two weeks is bit strange and I haven't been able to track it's exact location, although it does seems like it's in Pakistan but I am not sure.

To avoid hiccups with service everyone should be using SIP address as: chat.brain.net.pk:8891

If you are advanced user I would recommend using open DNS server addresses
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
in your router to have faster response to changes and power cycle your router, modem and phone adopter once a week.

I am doing all that you mentioned mirza jee. The service is stable for the last 2 days[hurrayyyy!!!] and they have removed the news flash mentioning "slight problem" from their home page too.

After long time i used braintel(because Betamax increased charges), it worked fine.
By the way, weekend is concidered as compelete off-peak time or only 18:00 - 21:30 off-peak?

I am no longer able to log into my handytone 486 configuration. When I put password "admin", it show me this screen:

center > Login

Can somebody tell me why I am getting this screen?

hi guys i just got the connection from brain tel but it's not working braintel guys send me the link for the eyebeam and i have all the settings as mentioned in the mail but after that i got the msg on eyebeam that login failed request timeout
ne solution for that???

I just register to this forum...as i want to sort out my eyebeam problem....

I would like to query any expert here.... i was using braintell from 1+ month from Jeddah, Saudi Arbia, it was working fine.... but recently i did a reinstall on my Accer machine... after reinstalling eyebeam i am not able to call ... voice quality is too low..... it feels sounds like very very slow motions sound..... any help?
i tried number to thing which are menioned on braintel configuration section of Eyebeam but its not working for me....could any body help me out on this....
