I'm still getting no service at all , i can not even receive incoming calls. I hope the service gets better soon and braintel should inform their customers in advance of any problems that would affect their service . As without any information it is quiet frustating and one just thinks that something is wrong with his settings.

The only SIP proxy address every one shoud be using is this:

chat.brain.net.pk:8891

using 8891 is critical and if it's not used it will be using port 5060 which is again not supported by BrainTEL SIP server.

Presently you can't register using the IP address (89.234.x.x) but it might change as some SIP devices specifically require numbers instead of name.

They have relocated their SIP server again at rackspace location in U.K and new web hosting company (let's keep it secrect this time), as a result their voice quality has increased as this provider has good server and internet connection.

Recently, voice is keep on breaking up and also the signal is not what it used to be. Doesn't matter when I call, its the same problrm.
I hope Braintel address this issue ASAP...

Since Friday 9th May 08, the voice quality has been the worst. The PTCL end gets good voice quality where as the calling end gets bad quality. I hope braintel will fix it soon.

I thought i was the only one getting poor service quality . I think since braintel has relocated their SIP, apart from one or two days their service quality has declined sharply.

Same problem here till today, Incoming and outgoing both have very bad quality.
When called Braintel support couple of days ago, they replied that its due to PTCL monitoring equipment.

but now its almost a week, i am not happy with the service..
Anybody has the fix?????

That does not add up? Did PTCL enabled their monitoring equipment at the same time when BrainTel relocated their equipment This issue only started earlier this month after relocation (IP change).

Problem still exists I think the bandwidth is not good enough, at 5:25 GMT, I tested it again. Results: Receiving End can hear me loud and clear but Calling End voice is very awful. I hope BrainTel will fix it real soon.

Voice qulaity seems degraded compared to before, login is okay but to make outgoing call have to try repeatedly and would get through to the call after about 4 to 5 tries.

I am having the same problem. It seems like braintel doesn't have enough upload bandwidth. Recently I have started getting the message that my number has been disconnected due to non-payment although my CC registered with them for automatic payments is showing regular charges from braintel on the statement. Support people have no clue what is going on. All the answer I get is we are working to get the problem resolved but no timeline when will it get fixed. This was the first time I decided to start using braintel again after a year of paying line rent without any use. Horrible service!!! and shame on PTA on increasing the taxes on incoming calls.
