BrainTEL configuration for Eyebeam

If you are installing eyebeam for the first time you will get the settings screen and if it’s already installed, run it to have the soft phone appear on your screen ad then right click any where on it and then left click on the settings and you will get the settings screen:

Click on the “+” sign next to “Add a new SIP account”

Select “Enable this SIP account” or click in it to put a check in there
Display Name: Your name
User name: Your BrainTEL phone number
Password: Your BrainTEL password
Authorized user name: Your BrainTEL phone number
Domain: 83.138.152.36:8891 or chat.brain.net.pk:8891
Under SIP Listen Port
Select “Manual override” or click in it to put a check in there
Change to 8891
Now on the left hand side under “Choose setting category” left click on “Firewall/NAT”
On the right hand side under “STUN Server”
Select “Manual override” or click in it to put a check in there
Put this value next to it: stun.fwdnet.net
(You can select any STUN server from this link:

Brain Telecommunication Ltd.)

Now again on the left hand side under “Choose setting category” left click on “Advanced”
On the right hand side under “Register Settings”
For “Reregister every” change to 100 (Very important to receive incoming calls)
For “Max. time” change to 500

On the Bottom right hand side left click on "Apply" and then "O.K"

Need your assistance. I have tried everything but I get a call failed: 603 declined message after one or two rings. Any clue what else I need to check. I have tried to seek assistance from brain but to no avail.

I have replied you at BrainTEL forums too regarding this; still I don’t have your exact configuration and are you able to make calls to BrainTEL support numbers?
Have you cleared all your bills and is your BrainTEL account approved to work both ways? Have you tried your BrainTEL connection with another computer?

Hello,
I am in Sharjah, UAE and facing same problem with Braintel. I have DSL connection from Etisalat. I am not able to connect since July. I am getting bill (which contains only line rent) and paying it regularly. One of my friend, outside UAE, is able to connect using same account and receive incoming calls.
Here are my settings:

Round about July time, Etisalat started blocking VoIP agressively. I've had many friends who were using other SIP services before lose their VoIP service after July. Don't think there is much you can do at the moment. There are certain options like VPN tunneling, or conecting to a Asterisk server located out of UAE. At the moment, I know Skype sort of works on and off.

Hi Asif,

First of all just use IP address for SIP proxy and try; Eye beam has been having problems in UAE registering with BrainTEL.

You have to use x-pro and use IP address for sip proxy.

Hi Asif,
As Mirza very rightly pointed out, you will need to install X-Pro... I have tried all the possible permutations of installing and configuring and un-installing X-Pro, EyeBeam and X-Lite... Nothing works but X-Pro... I am not using IP Address for the sip proxy but it definitely sounds like a good idea giving it a try I will do that and will post the feed back latest by tomorrow Insha Allah.
X-Pro is also having a problem like if you are not in a call, the connection drops in something like a minute or so and you have to exit the app and restart it. So you shall try to get into a call asap after getting logged in...
