Default RE: xlite audio problem

It is very likely that Asterisk is monopolizing all of the RTP ports. Asterisk's system requirements state that Asterisk expects to be the only application/service running on the PC, so this case would not be surprising at all.

is there any way i can manipulate the system so that i can run xlite and asterisk at the same time? Or is there any other software phones I can use in replacement for the xlite. Thanks!

By telling asterisk not to load the local channel sound drivers on startup then it will not use an audio device. e.g. in modules.conf you would include:
Code:
noload => chan_alsa.so
noload => chan_oss.so
