Default WRT54GP2 and Asterisk

Can a Linksys WRT54GP2na be used to connect to asterisk running from
within the inside private network, instead of sending out to a public provider?

Can the phone ports be directed to the intenal network instead of having them provisoned to the public
network.

I don't believe they can, but you should be able to point them to your public IP address (or its equivalent Dynamic DNS FQDN) and have a successful hairpin connection to your server behind the router. I have all of my client devices pointed to my public FQDN, even those that never emerge from behind the router, with no ill effects.
