| FINALLY! Voipsupply.com took over a month and a half to ship this baby but it arrived. I've finished my review over at www.archatechs.com ... had some server problems with the 2nd 1/2 but it should be there now. Bottom line- this is one slick wifi phone but probably not ready for the average consumer (at least to provision themself). |

| I'm very much interested in your review, as VIP330 looks (finally) like a wifi phone with potential. I would appreciate if you specifically address the issue of battery life, as this is something wifi phones are infamous for. The other question (which you might not be able to try unfortunately) is whether the phone can also handle WPA authentication via radius server (via EAP (PEAP)) not just WPA-PSK. I'm looking for a phone capable of working in such enviroment... |

| The security stuff is pretty poor. I was more excited about WPA support than anything else...its pretty bad. It does support PEAP and MD5, but there is no option for user/pass if you are using RADIUS agains active directory (for instance). It also appears limited to a 27 bit key, and since I'm using 64 I find that problematic. I'm going to finish the review next week after I've had a chance to really put it through the ringer. I'll keep ya posted!

| Hey folks- I got the rest of the review up at www.Archatechs.com The bottom line: this thing is not ready for primetime, but has some merit for authenticating to captive portals.

| Unlocked Nokia e60 can be bought for $375 which is about the same price as WIP330. It has wifi, SIP client, WPA/WPA2 and should also support radius, EAP-PEAP authentication. I just read on the internet people succesfully configured it with asterisk. Plus it has 3band GSM, UMTS and EDGE. I think I'll get it and post results, concentrating on the VOIP part. |

| I really hear good things about that e60. I'd be anxious to hear what you think of it!

The stupid Nokia battery don't even last an hour if you keep WIFI ON waiting for incoming call. Well, in the end the WIP330 still have to stand in for the whole day to do the job. |

| Nokia web site for e60 claims 8-12 days standby time for GSM and 4.5-6.5 days for GSM+WLAN. I do hope it's true, I read some posts on the web that battery drain with wifi on seem to be very reasonable. |
