| | Voipbuster and Asterix@home Hi I been trying to get Voipbuster to work with AAH using sip but have not been able to get it to work. I can dial out using sipgate. I saw a post earlier on in the forumn about getting it to work with iax. Can anyone help me in the configuration of voipbuster with iax.
Thanks |

| | RE: Voipbuster and Asterix@home I have got it working, i had tried using the full international dialing code ie 0044. Now can any one help me setting up outgoing dialimg rules.
At the moment I have got the system set-up on the outgoing trunk so if someone dials an 8 it will sellect the voipbuster iax. (8|.) How can i setup up a plan so that it if i dial a number such as 0151 555 1234 it will translate it to 00441515551234.
I have tried 80|.+0044+xxxxxxxxxx
this does not seem to work.
TIA |

| | RE: Voipbuster and Asterix@home I am not familiar enough with AMP to be definitive, but it looks like you need to remove the period before the +0044+

| | Hi. I'm new to VOIP but have managed to get Asterisk up and running with Sipgate. Could you give me a hand in setting up voipbuster or voipcheap to dial out on please. Is it a SIP or IAX2 trunk?
These are the settings I have tried in the Edit trunk section
fromdomain=voipbuster.com
fromuser=MY USER NAME
host=sip.voipbuster.com
secret=MY PASSWORD
type=peer
username=MY USER NAME
Thanks in advance. |

| | Starline250:
I added this to my iax.conf file:
[iaxvoipbuster]
type=peer
username=<user id>
secret=<password>
host=213.61.187.150
notransfer=yes
context=default
Then I added this to extensions.conf in [default] context (well you can use whatever you want as soon as it is the same context that iax.conf entry):
exten => _001.,1,Dial(IAX2/iaxvoipbuster/${EXTEN})
exten => _001.,2,Hangup
And it is working. All my dialed numbers starting with 001 will go to voipbuster.
I have found voipbuster is working better with IAX than SIP.

| | Thanks for the help,
Eventually i rebooted the asterisk server and I could then dial out via voipbuster.
In the dial rules for voipbuster trunk I have added the following:-
0044+XXXXXXXXXX
0044151+XXXXXXX |

| | Thanks to both of you. Within 5 minutes of reading your replies the system was rebooted and dialing out on voipbuster.
Thanks again guys. |

| | I have been working in computers for over 16 years now, mostly on PC's but have dabled in cp/m, and VAX as well but it is amazing how a simple reboot solves most problems.
The only problem i have now with VOIPBUSTER is that when you dial out through it it displays an 0845 number on the recipents phone insted of passing the number i have in asterisk. Is there a way round this or can i suppress the clid on this trunk? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
