Voicemail notification rings phone every 5 minutes...

Hey guys, I have an Asterisk box with an SPA-3000 setup. Things work awesome.

Whenever I get a voicemail, the new voicemail notification shows up on the phone but it also seems to make the phone ring every 5 miuntes For maybe 3 rings.)

Does anyone know why it does this? Is there any way I can get it to stop the ringing?

It will depend on the phone what it does when the MWI (message waiting indicator) is on. Some just have a red light on ... others will ring as you describe.

If you can't configure it on the phone I would suggest disabling the mailbox=... entry for the phone in sip.conf.

In this scenario would I still leave the entry in voicemail.conf? If I did, would voicemail still work? New to all this so please bare with me
