Default Using Asterisk to forward calls to an external phone

Sorry for the naïve question.

Say I have two sip accounts: sip1 and sip2

Would it be possible, without modifying any code, to configure Asterisk (or better still, Asterisk@Home) so as to forward calls incoming from sip1 to an external phone (such as a cell phone) using sip2?

Note that I’m not asking how to do the above. For now I just want to know whether this is something that could be done with relative ease.

Thanks!

I'm not sure about doing this with a straight Asterisk installation, but doing it with Asterisk@Home is pretty straigtforward. You just create a custom extension in AMP that dials SIP/phone_number@trunk. Place that custom extension in the failover destination.

Thanks much! I'm now inspired to give Asterisk@Home a try.

Setup a Inbound route that call a ring group. The ring group includes the cell number that you want to call. Check out this detail from Nerd Vittles.
