How to use the directory? Using Asterisk@Home 2.2 with Grandstream GXP2000 sip phones.
When I access the directory with *411, the IVR comes up but every time I enter three likely digits on the phone it says there is no such entry in the directory.
Questions:
The directory asks for 3 letters of the last name. How does the phone differentiate between a,b or c when a '2' is pressed?
Right now there is only a single directory entry in in the file "/etc/asterisk/voicemail.conf". Is this the correct file where directory entries are stored?
That entry was stored in voicemail.conf when I enabled "Directory and Voicemail" for extension 120 in AMP.
The single entry in that file is:
"120=> ,Larry Office,,,Attach=no|saycid=no|envelope=no|delete=no "
I've tried all kind of three button combinations after dialing *411 but nothing is working.
Is there a way to list _all_ the extensions?
Does the *411 directory accept numbers for directory names?If I have a name as 'ext 123' will the directory accept the numbers? How exactly would I access the 'ext 123' entry?
Sorry for all the questions. For some reason, this is harder than it should be.
