As you all know most VoIP providers send Caller ID without Name.
I'm looking for a tutorial that describes how to load phone # and associated Name into phpMyAdmin DB so when call arrives asterisk will complete DB look up and will send the callers name to CID display on my phone.
There is a module you can install using the FreePBX interface, then once you have it installed, you can change the caller ID lookup to local, then populate it with the "phonebook" on the setup page of freepbx.
