| | SPA-3000 config for * and clarification on * config Newbie here, I first got the SPA-3000 working with my VPConnect acct. via the auto config found here (that was very cool by the way). I then got * up and running and edited the * config files per the * and SPA-2000 How-to. No dialtone. I then edited the gateway in the SPA config to point to my * IP. No go.
Is there a beginner's How-to on how to get * and SPA-3000 going?
Thanks in advance to anybody who would like to lend a hand.
Cheers. |

| | I also have a VPConnect DID and a POTS line, not sure how to configure.... The goal is to have 3 extensions, one to the FXS/ FXO port and 2 softphones, local uses POTS, LD uses VP or FWD. |

| | I think I'll start getting * running without talking to the SPA-3000 first and then I'll introduce * via a call plan (like I know wtf I'm talking about!...and yes I like talking to myself ) |

| | Thanks PhoneBoy, yes I noticed that. I'll work on getting * running first and give that a try. |

| | PhoneBoy,
I have tried, unsuccessfully, to get an SPA 3000 to work with Asterisk. I have fought with the thread you gave and cannot seem to get anything to register correctly. I'm running the 2.0.10d firmware. I am unclear on where I should be putting username and secret information in the 3000 configuration.
Does anyone have clear instructions on Asterisk and SPA 3000 setup? Quote: |

| | It works! Thanks to your help and that of bernart, I have the unit interacting with Asterisk. I know incoming calls work at least.
Now is it possible to set it up so the line isn't answered until someone picks up on Line 1 or I want Asterisk to audibly interact with the caller? This would be nice to reduce unwanted charges for the caller. Quote: |
