setting number of rings per ext before voicemail picks up

Just trying to figure out how I can increase the number of rings on a *per extension* basis before a call dumps to voicemail. Need this because many extensions forward to external cellphones and the owners of some of these cellphones want to use the cell voicemail rather than Asterisk VM. Right now it rings the cell phone 4 times, then dumps back to Asterisk VM before the cell voicemail has a chance to answer.

I don't want to disable voicemail for these users because that also disables their directory entry, and I don't want to increase ring time for every extension in general settings.

This would be a nice setting for me too if I can increase the ring time of some of my extensions. But I havent been able to find such a setting (though I havent looked hard enough).

it apparently doesn't exist. i've filed a feature enhancement request with freepbx. some people smarter than i have tried to implent this with some scripting but haven't met with success, though it sounds like they're on the right track.
