Default Questions, Questions from a NewB

Till recently life was simple and I had a couple of Sipura Boxes doing marvellous things till our government decided to block port 5060. I found a way around this by HTTP tunneling and for the case of the soft phones by switching on xtunnels on my xten softphones.
As tunneling requires a computer to be on anyway why not Asterisk? which had been on the back of my mind for some time. So yesterday I went and got myself a P3 computer which should be sufficient to run Asterisk. Keeping in view that I do not know Unix/Linux and my interfaces will be Sipura boxes (a 2100 and a 3000) and I want to use tunneling could somebody please advise me on:
1. Should I use (a) Asterisk or (b) Asterisk@Home or (c) Asteriskwin32?
2. Do I need to get a license for G729 or use the passthrough mode and let the Sipuras handle the decoding.
3. How does one set up outbound proxies and set up tunnels within Asterisk.
I would be extremely gratefull for any advise on these issues.
