 How to prompt before accepting transferred call
I set up a ring group with simultaneus ring to several remote numbers. All works well except I want Asterisk to prompt with a message like "lead call, please press 1 to accept". Currently the call is connected to the first to answer which is OK except an individual's voice mail often picks up (nothing like XYZ Corp.s phone answered by Snoop Dog and then "leave a message for Joe"). I would prefer to accept the call after the announcement tells me what it is about; otherwise, I might prefer some other employee has the opportunity to take the call if I'm driving down the freeway or such. I don't want random VMs answering the phone and with the varying connect time with cellular I can't simply timeout the call in, say, 30 seconds, and send it to an Asterisk VM box. I saw the command somewhere and I can't find it again to save my life (an hour of googling and no joy). |
