Default NAT & VPN - setup issues

I have just setup a * box which is connected between 2 sites via VPN. Internal calls are working correctly with the host & 1 client in the 192.168.22.0 subnet and other clients in the 192.168.0.0 subnet.

However, I have a problem with one-way or intermittent audio on external calls, which I beleive is due to the NAT setting.

The * host location and external IP are served by myhost.dyndns.org which has a dynamic IP.

Which of these settings do I need to use:

externip=myhost.dyndns.org
externhost=myhost.dyndns.org
localnet=192.168.0.0/255.255.0.0 ;covers both subnets?
host=dynamic
nat=yes

All extensions are local [including those on VPN]. Connection to FWD is via IAX, other providers [2] via SIP.

Should these settings be global or in each provider's context? [and which file should they be placed in?]

Many thanks

This link has helped, although I don't know if the problem is totally fixed.

Default Re: NAT & VPN - setup issues - resolved

The previous solution for NAT has resolved the one-way audio issue.

The incoming call problem was related to undefined contexts.

Solution: Having setup DID on Inbound Routes, I cleared the Incoming Settings section of each trunk and pointed the Peer context to ext-did-direct [no further editing required].

All three extensions are now able to receive calls on their designated DID.

Can anyone tell me if this will cause any problems with system integrity?

My system design objective is 3 extensions, internal calls, DID for each via SIP/PSTN & outbound calls via separate Trunks. No IVR, & no DISA.
