 Dock-n-talk Hi ALL Not sure what forum to ask this questoin but since it will be connected to asterisk via an ata, this is a start. Seriously, is this product ok for home use or is it a toy ? I would like to hang a GSM gateway onto my asterisk box to get around the draconian PSTN to Mobile charges levied against us in Australia. Is the audio quality any good and is the link reliable ? I have no experience with this unit however it supports phones used in Australia.. Any feedback would be appreciated !!!     |

| RE: Dock-n-talk I've played with it a bit. Unfortunately, at the moment, I don't have a phone that is compatible with any of the cables. While I could do bluetooth, I've got so much stuff going on in 2.4 ghz that I consistently have drops between the Dock n Talk and the mobile phones. Actually, I do have one phone that's compatible with the cable, but being an 7-year old Nokia 6190, it doesn't take Cingular's 64k SIMs.

| When I was testing the Dock n Talk, I had T-Mobile service. I couldn't tell if it was the bad T-Mobile service or the Dock n Talk (more likely the former). I couldn't do a reliable test is basically what I'm saying.
