Default Digital Receptionist (IVR) with an extension AND Virtual Ext

I am using Asterisk @ Home 2.8 and wondering if anyone knows of a way to create a Digital Receptionist WITH an extension number?

I want to create an IVR (Digitial Receptionist) menu but want internal users to be able to dial an extension number and reach this Digital Receptionist. Perhaps some sort of "virtual" extension?

Also, how do you set up a "virtual" extension? i.e. I want to create an extension that I can include in an IVR (i.e. option 3) that when the caller selects this option, it will forward to my cell. phone.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

David

Default RE: Digital Receptionist (IVR) with an extension AND Virtual

create the IVR with the web interface
after ur done do the following
go to management
config edit
extentions_additional.conf

find AA_1 or 2 or 3 whichever is the IVR u want

then goto extentions_custom.conf i beleive.. dont have system infront of me just going on what i think
add this somewhere where u see the others

Exten => xxx,1,Goto(aa_1,s,1)

xxx being the virtual extention u want
i might have missed something,m but that should work i hope
remember to save and reread configs
