Default codec

Some one can tell me in which order asterisk choice the codec, since I would like to give some priority for the choice of the codec to use.

You may use this convention in sip.conf/iax.conf both in the general section and then in each sub-section, as follows:

disallow=all
allow=ulaw
allow=g729
allow=gsm

Where you disallow all and then allow them in the order of precedence during the negotation of the codec.

Who/what are you attempting to call/receive calls from? It could be that the other end only allows ilbc. Futher, to the post above, there may be g729 licensing issues depending on how you are attempting to use that channel.
