Default Caller ID has to be blocked

Hi,

I have some phones, which has to display their ID and some of them don't have to. I am using Asterisk 1.6.2

for those, which has to display their ID, I am using in my SIP.CONF

CallerId=123456789
=> fine, I display on the receiver phone : 123456789

Now, for those, which has to hide their ID, I wrote :
restrictedid=yes
hidecallerid=yes

But it still displays.... the phone extension ??????

- Any idea what is wrong ?

Thanks for your help

Steve

If this is for outside calls, it could be down to your provider as some will always display the number unless you ask then to block it.

I've never seen the variable "hidecallerid" and I think "restrictedid" should be "restrictcid", but that appears to be deprecated anyway.

Try http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/A...ip+callingpres
or http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index....md+CallingPres

Hi guys,

I found the solution :
In my sip.conf, I declare :
setvar=NUM=unknown or setvar=NUM=004422332233

and into my extensions.conf
set(callerid(num)=${NUM})

That works pretty well

thanks for your help
