I just hooked up a GXP2000 into my home phone network. I have a few softphones and a Linksys 3102 with a phone plugged into the FXS. I would like to transfer a call from one phone to the next, but when I press ##, nothing happens. It's like the phone doesn't recognize the key presses as anything special. The feature code "In-Call Asterisk Blind Transfer" is Enabled. The transfer button on the GXP2000 works fine to transfer calls, but the ## doesn't work on any phone, including the GXP2000. This has the feel of something simple that I haven't learned yet. Do I need to enable some type of in-call signal recognition? Thanks.

I should clarify my question somewhat. All feature codes work normally when I get the dial tone from asterisk. However, the in-call features, specifically the transfer function doesn't work. In FreePBX under the general settings I have allowed callers to transfer a call using the # key (under Dialing options). I have also verfied that "In-Call Asterisk Blind Transfer" feature is enabled in my Feature Codes. I kept the default code "##" for blind transfers. When I am in a call (between two extensions in my house), hitting the ## keys does nothing. On my GXP 2000, hitting "##" does nothing, but hitting the transfer key on the hardward phone works perfectly. What do I have to do to get the "##" transfer to get recognized during a call? Thanks.

Just an update in case anyone has this problem and is willing to accept a workaround. I found a way to transfer the call without pressing ##. I just hit flash to get a second dial tone and the original call is put on hold. On the new dialtone I call the number to transfer to and when the number starts to ring, I hang up. This works for me. However, I would still like to know how to use the ## with this phone. I have several phones around the house and want the wife and kids to only have to remember one transfer process. I'm using a GE cordless DECT phone that is connected to a Linksys 3102. I also have an AT&T 1815 model phone connected to a GS386. When I press ## on that phone, the transfer function works (hear "transfer" and then get a new dial tone). So I think that my asterisk box is set up appropriately and have to fix the issue with the phone. BTW, when I connect the cordless phone to the GS386, the transfer function does NOT work either. I'm hoping that there is a way to set the phone up to work or to get the 3102 to understand the tones from the phone and send the "proper" tones to asterisk so that the transfer function on the cordless phone will also function as expected. Thanks for your ideas and help.
